WHY EVENT ORGANIZERS NEED FOOD TROLLEY

The food trolley has a variety of uses when it comes to catering services. They are not only used to move food from the kitchen but also preserve it before it is served to the guests. They come in a variety of styles and sizes meant for different occasions. The most common type of food trolley is simple and basically meant for movement of food. They are made of flat trays with open sides hence cannot be used for preservation of food. They play a very vital role when it comes to serving guests during events. One major advantage of using this type of food trolley is that they are cheap and can still serve the same purpose. Some are foldable hence can greatly save on space.

Catering in some areas has to be done with the complex types of food transport carts. For instance, hot food may go cold as it is moved from the kitchen to the main venue especially during winters. For this reason, the transport cart to be used should have good insulation properties. Beverages and ice creams on the other hand have to be kept cold before they are served to the guests. This can only be done by an insulated transport cart.

Some carts are powered by electricity and can be used to warm or cool foods. They have inbuilt heaters and cooling systems specially meant for this purpose. They have a lighting system that activates whenever the door is opened. Most food transport carts have compartments that can accommodate trays. Some have as many as thirty compartments meant too store different types of food at different temperatures. The trays can be easily detached from the compartments for cleaning to be done. Virtually all types of food trolleys have smooth rolling wheels appropriate for household and institutional surfaces. They allow for easy movement of food within the venue when serving guests.

I always have a couple with me when I cater at weddings!
